The following is a list of the things VVA Chapter 637 has accomplished over the past few months:

Chapter 637 is raffling off a Beretta Pin Tail 12 Gauge 3", 3 shot Automatic shotgun to raise
monies to send [personal care items to the troops in Iraq ands Afghanistan. We are trying to locate some addresses for some of our units that are deployed there from our area. U-Haul is donating the boxes we will need to ship the items. The local K-Marts and Wal-Mart stores are allowing us to sell tickets in front of their stores. Lowe's has also allowed us to use their local store.
 The shotgun will be given away on Nov. 3rd at the Patriots Day Banquet at Gadedens convention Hall. We are also going to dedicate our Memorial on that day. All VVA members and Officers are invited. Tickets to the Luncheon are available from Rick Vaughan, Frank Estes and are $8.00 each. Our speaker is going to be the Assistant head of the National Veterans Administration.
 

The cost is $2.00 per ticket or 11 for $20.00. The gun will be given away at our annual Patriots Day Luncheon on November the 3rd.

We Have a picnic on Labor Day each year at Attalla City Park starting at 10:00 AM. We invite everyone to come out and eat. It is totally free-----

We Support the Etowah County Free Clinic with donations every Quarter----We present a Scholarship every year to a deserving  student at Gadsden State Community Collage----  We donate gift certificates  for Groceries at Thanksgiving to Senior Citizens we find through DHR----At Christmas we Adopt families and make sure they have food and clothing----We participate in Gadsden's Patriot Day Parade-----We participate in Oneonta's Veterans Day Parade

 Chapter 637 hopes that the next few months will be as productive to its members and the community as the previous months were.
